Student Social Media Coordinator
GMU Career Services is seeking two (2) students to manage the social media platforms of our office.
Student Social Media Coordinators manage up to three office social media accounts such as Twitter, Instagram, and/or LinkedIn. Time commitment is 15-20 hours of work each week; includes two meetings per week (1 team meeting and 1 individual meeting with supervisor). Key duties are as follows: Curate new and exciting content that reflects the Mason student voice. Attend in-person and virtual UCS events and engage in a live format, real-time content. Responsible for monitoring and evaluating metrics related to followership and engagement. While social media is the primary focus of the role, students may also support other marketing projects based on their skills and interests. Must work well as a team and with limited supervision.
Pay: $11 dollars per hour, to start.
Students will gain experience with leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, professionalism, and critical thinking, as well as work within a team to foster a sense of community at Mason.

Requirements
- Current Mason student in good standing with the University (academic, conduct, financial, etc.)
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Demonstrated skills in managing social media content for an organization, group, etc.
Preferred Requirements
- Degree program: Communications, Marketing, English, Graphic Design, and/or Film (open to all majors)
- Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Technology tools: AirTable, Hootesuite
- Social media platforms: Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn

Must attend, to capture and promote the following events, plus others as needed:
Part-Time Jobs Fair (Aug 24), Fall Career Fair (Sept 28 or 29), Resume Clinic (Sept 26), and Graduate career fair (Oct 27 )
