FCPS Gatehouse Site Visit – Education Careers Week 2026
Friday, February 6, 2026 | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Location: Gatehouse Administration Center, Falls Church, VA
As part of Education Careers Week (February 2-6), Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is hosting a site visit for a group of George Mason students at their Gatehouse Administration Center on Friday, February 6, 2026. This visit will focus on the support, resources, and professional development opportunities available for future educators within one of the largest and most diverse school districts in the nation.
During this visit, students will hear from FCPS Human Resources professionals, gain insight into the application and hiring process, and learn about programs such as Great Beginnings and other pathways designed to help new teachers thrive. You’ll also have the chance to connect with HR leadership and Mason alumni who have transitioned from the classroom into school and central office roles. Want to learn more about their careers? Visit their website: https://www.fcps.edu/careers
This is a valuable opportunity for students interested in education, teaching, or K–12 career pathways to ask questions, explore career options, and learn directly from FCPS staff.
Space is limited to 20 attendees, so apply today! The application deadline is Thursday, January 29th at 5pm!
We will contact you via email to confirm your participation and to share the next steps and site visit details such as parking, meeting location, and agenda. PLEASE NOTE: Transportation may be provided if a need is expressed.
